We've put together a little blog about Mother's Day with an idea for a great present for a new mum!
Hi everyone,
Mother’s Day is on the 27th March…in the UK! Actually, here in Italy, Mother’s Day (or Festa della Mamma) will be celebrated on May 8th! Australia, the USA and many other countries including South Africa, Japan and Finland also celebrate their mothers on the same date as the Italians.

While the American Mother’s Day originates from 1914 after a campaign by Anna Jarvis, whose own mother had died the previous May, the British version has religious origins. Christians were encouraged to visit the ‘mother church’ on the fourth Sunday of lent. Apologies if you already knew this! I didn't and had always wondered why it is celebrated on different dates, only after starting writing today’s blog did it occur to me to actually look up the history behind it!While the American Mother’s Day originates from 1914 after a campaign by Anna Jarvis, whose own mother had died the previous May, the British version has religious origins. Anyway, Mother’s Day in current times is also a chance for us not only to show (and tell) our mums how much they mean to us but also an opportunity to get them a thoughtful gift. I don’t know about you but my mum can be really hard to get presents for! Sometimes I feel like I’ve run out of ideas and keep going back to old presents which I’ve given before! So unoriginal!
Well, one of the great things about working at the Bambini Baby Awards is that I'm constantly inspired and amazed by the brands which we are lucky enough to work with. I must admit that I fell in love a bit with the winners and have wound up buying their products as presents for my loved ones!
One brand that I’m particularly fond of is True Organic of Sweden. I think a lot of us associate Scandinavian brands with environmentally friendly practices, natural ingredients and ethical business models. If that’s a stereotype then it’s not a bad one and at True Organic of Sweden the shoe fits as they’re committed to using high quality organic ingredients and doing their part in protecting the planet. A sample pack of their seven skincare products ( All You Need Is Me, 50 mL, Mini Me, 15 mL, Undercover Agent, Face It, Sea Me Mask, Body Body, Make my day) is available on their website with a fairly hefty discount and would make a wonderful present for mum this Mother’s Day.
True Organic of Sweden was founded by Swedish entrepreneur Tina de Sousa in 2014. Tina has a science degree in natural health and is clearly passionate about clean skincare, environmentalism and organic ingredients such as squalane and broccoli. Do check out the social media pages which proudly go into more details how these and other natural ingredients are beneficial to our skin.
So, I do hope that if you’re stuck for ideas this has been helpful! I think a strong recommendation always helps when we’re feeling indecisive about a purchase!
If you’re already a fan of True Organic of Sweden then please let us know in the comments! It’s always great to hear your thoughts!
Until next time, ciao for now!
