Let's Meet our Winners Taramar and Tiffany & Tallulah

Hi again everyone from all of us at the Bambini Baby Awards! We are still buzzing from the announcement of winners and in order to extend that buzz we have a few blogs planned where we’ll take a deeper look into the stories behind the brands which won: Taramar who are based in Iceland and Tiffy & Tallulah from the UK. 

In the last blog I focused on Nu Skin and its story as one of the biggest brands in skincare as well as the lengths they have gone to to produce green products which are safe for our little ones! Today I’d like to focus on some more recent companies who are making big waves in the industry and raising the bar for everyone when it comes to pure products!

Taramar are an Icelandic company, whose origins lie within the University of Iceland where, back in 2015,  Professor Gudrun Marteinsdottir PhD in Marine Ecology and Kristberg Kristbergsson, PhD in Food Chemistry, MSc and M.Phil in Food Engineering set about forming a company which created pure skincare products. 

Obviously, these two had just the credentials and using their scientific expertise they have developed  effective products which are free of chemicals or any synthetics. 

Dr.  Gudrun Marteinsdottir was initially inspired to experiment with creating natural skin care products as a hobby when she discovered that no products on the market were suitable for her own sensitive skin. She then set and achieved a goal of creating bioactive products that were so clean that a baby could even ingest them (although she doesn’t recommend this!) without any harm being done. That really says a lot about how far they have gone to achieve that goal!

Taramar walked away with the following Bambini Baby Awards:

• Best Baby Skin Healing Cream - Bronze - TaraKids - Soothing Baby Oil Healing Skin
• Best Body Lotion for New Mum - Bronze - TaraKinds - Moms Elastic Skin Cream
• Best Beauty Product for New Mums, Bronze, TARAMAR - TaraKids Moms Elastic Skin Oil​​​

Now let’s look at the absolutely wonderful Tiffany and Tallulah brand who took the Silver Award for their  Soothing & Hydrating Sheet Masks​. I have to say this is one of my favourite brands ever as the story behind the company is both relatable and hilarious. Tiffany is Tallulah’s mum and they have a great story about how when Tallulah was just three, she had a huge meltdown about not being able to use a facemask like her mum!

Tiffany was rightly concerned about some of the the ingredients within her facemask being used on a child and it was then that she realised that maybe those same ingredients aren’t great for adults either! Tiffany and Tallulah create products that mothers and their babies can both use and let them have lovely bonding moments while looking after their skin! Do please check them out!
